What are SATs?
For the foreseeable future, Standardised Assessment Tests (SATs) will be part of school life. Primary schools use these tests, as means of measuring a child's progress over key stages one and two.Year 6 results (in the form of a scaled score) inform secondary schools about the progress of individuals, for when they arrive in Year 7.
A scaled score of 100 indicates a pupil is working at the expected standard, a score below 100 shows a child has not met the expected government standard.
The maximum score possible is 120 and the minimum is 80.
